An ode to the Berlin of the late 1920s, when the German capital flourished into a post-depression renaissance. Arranged as a symphony divided in
five acts, the movie depicts one day in Berlin, the rhythm of that time, starting at the earliest morning and ending in the deepest of night.
Ruttmann’s influential silent documentary portrays the technological development, the hard working masses and boasting nightlife that comprised
to feed the metropolis’ relentless energy.

Alberto Novello a.k.a. JesterN is a scientist, composer, sound and video artist born in Italy in 1977. In his early age, he studied piano and double
bass at the Conservatory of Udine, and played electric bass and recorded with several Italian bands amongst wich Arbe Garbe. He graduated in
Physics at the University of Trieste, Italy, and joined his passion for music experimentation and science completing the master "Art, Science and
Technologies" at the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble, France, studying electronic composition with J.C. Risset, J.B.Bariere and J.C.
Cadoz. He was teacher of electronic music composition at the Conservatory Ghedini of Cuneo from 2004 to 2006 with B.Thigpen and
S. Bassanese. In 2009, he obtained a Phd at the TU/Eindhoven and the Philips Research Laboratories in the field of Music Perception and Music
Information Retrieval with A. Kohlrausch.
